Riverside Park

This studio was in collaboration with the Envision Resilience Challenge, which inspires coastal communities to envision innovative approaches to the impacts of climate change. Riverside Park is located in the North End of New Bedford, Massachusetts. Our team, in combination with community partners, wanted to envision the possibilities of site activation, water management, and restoring ecological health. We proposed relocating the playground, a boardwalk to protect native plants, communication strategy, interactive informational signage, spaces for gathering, and spaces for Indigenous land practices.
