Spring 2024

Location: Dorchester, MA

The Dorchester Children's Museum is focused on four core values: we want kids to move freely, make willingly, morph experimentally, and marvel at the endless possibilities. The building is organized according to activity, with the most active program (move) being on the ground floor and the most passive program (marvel) on the top floor. The programmatic elements are 'open-ended' and encourage discovery through doing. We recognize learning and exploring is not linear and wanted to tangibly represent this with our ramp design. Our ramp is core to connecting all of the goals we have for the space, the backbone to our programmatic elements.
