Birch Backpack

This backpack is an exploration of materiality, construction, and sensorial objects. Tambour panels wrap around the front and side panels to create a cohesive and seamless flap with a magnetic closure. The straps are stirrup leathers commonly found on saddles. The birch backback connects the wearer to organic materials in an inorganic way. The internal canvas bag is magnetically attached to the interior and can be removed for washing or transferring bags. The Birch Backpack can comfortably fit an 11" iPad, 1L of water, and a pencil case.
